role overview

Reporting to the Area Business Manager, the Club General Manager will have an overall responsibility to maximize club’s EBITDA performance through strategy execution, performance management and the growth and development of direct reports, all in line with the company business objectives.

As the Club General Manager, you will have an expert understanding of gym club management, key roles at the club level (Head of Department / HOD), Fitness First operational disciplines and executing the business strategy and brand standard. You will also have experience in P&L management as well as a proven track record of people development and performance management.

You will grow membership, revenue and profitability of the business whilst delivering an exceptional member experience and be passionate about working in an environment that constantly strives to improve peoples’ lives.

  • responsibilities
    • Execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email marketing, mobile application, social media and display advertising campaigns.


    • Plan and execute monthly digital lead gen campaigns.


    • Develop and manage monthly content calendar for social media channels.


    • Monitor and respond to social media queries.


    • Identify and flag crisis comments to Digital Marketing Manager and key stakeholders.


    • Track, measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and monthly digital performance.


    • Develop and manage monthly email marketing content topics.


    • Assist in updating in-club staff touchscreen profiles.


    • Manage and update membership database using digital platform.


    • Assist in updating web content such as latest club activities, promotions, referral programmes and other campaign communications.


    • Support Digital Marketing Manager in seeking new opportunities and keeping abreast of emerging digital opportunities and new platforms.


  • requirement
    • An undergraduate degree (or professional qualification) in Marketing, Mass Communication or Multimedia Communication.


    • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.


    • Fluent in both written and spoken for English. Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is a bonus.


    • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is an added value.


    • Ability to learn and operate digital tools.
