role overview

Reporting to the Area Business Manager, the Club General Manager will have an overall responsibility to maximize club’s EBITDA performance through strategy execution, performance management and the growth and development of direct reports, all in line with the company business objectives.

As the Club General Manager, you will have an expert understanding of gym club management, key roles at the club level (Head of Department / HOD), Fitness First operational disciplines and executing the business strategy and brand standard. You will also have experience in P&L management as well as a proven track record of people development and performance management.

You will grow membership, revenue and profitability of the business whilst delivering an exceptional member experience and be passionate about working in an environment that constantly strives to improve peoples’ lives.

  • responsibilities
    • Sourcing and managing vendors to meet company’s supply requirements and budget.

    • Placing orders and ensuring goods/services are delivered within the committed deadlines.

    • Inspecting goods received to ensure adherence to quality and quantity specifications./p>

    • Ensure the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and distribution of stock to clubs.

    • Updating purchase orders into Company’s ERP system and compilation of documents for payment.

    • Work with clubs to forecast and maintain optimal stock levels.

    • Liaise with vendors pertaining to servicing of office / club equipment.

    • Perform regular stock audits at clubs – Club Visits.

    • Handle shipping elements and import export documents.

    • Work with appointed forwarding agent, customs and related third parties.

    • Any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

  • requirement
    • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Degree, Professional Degree in Logistics/Transportation, Sport Science & Management or equivalent.

    • Required Skill(s): procurement, erp, analytical skills, business application skills, negotiation skills.

    • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position./p>

    • Passionate about fitness and understands the value of the product.

    • Applicant must have own transport (Car/Motorbike).
