Real Results  
Before joining Fitness First, I was known as “Fei Chai” (fat boy) as I used to weigh 102kgs and my waistline was 44 inches. Everyone would call me “fat boy” instead of calling me by my name. I joined Fitness First in February 2004 and have never looked back since. I started off my exercise routine with no specific goals in mind by running on the treadmill and doing some basic weights training which I read from various fitness magazines, I found the process of losing weight too slow and was unmotivated.

I came to know that there was a launch of new Group Exercise (GX) classes at the club and from my observations of the classes they seemed fun and exciting. I decided to give it a try and joined my first GX class - BODYSTEP® and found it invigorating! Since then, I was hooked on GX classes especially BODYSTEP® as the moves are easy to follow while providing a great workout. I joined other GX classes such as BODYPUMP®, RPM™ and BODYJAM® which I enjoyed very much. I started to see results and I lost 20kgs in 6 months.

With my passion and energy towards Group Exercise, I was encouraged to sign up for instructor training courses for BODYSTEP®, BODYPUMP®, BODYATTACK® and BODYJAM®. I passed all the courses and began working in Fitness First. I was then given an opportunity to work abroad and I was transferred to Fitness First Hong Kong for 6 months. During my stay there, I had lots of fun, gained unforgettable experiences and met lots of new friends.

Although I had successfully attained weight loss, I wanted to build lean muscles and gain improvement in strength and endurance. Hence, I decided to sign up for Personal Training. I started my Personal Training session in August 2008 with Vincent. He planned my training programme, monitored my progress, pushed me to my limits and provided continuous motivation during our training sessions. Vincent also provided professional advice such as nutrition tips. In three months, the results were visible because I lost an additional 10kgs and my weight is now 72kgs!
