Real Stories  
I was always chubby and never excelled in school sports. My job took a huge part of my time and exercising was never on my ‘to-do-list’. In February 2007, I tagged along with my brother to inquire about Fitness First’s membership fees. We were brought for a club tour by a membership consultant and I ended up joining Fitness First!

On my first day, I was introduced to Lilen (Lenn),
who did my health assessment. I was overweight with
high fat percentage. During my first complimentary
training sessions, Lenn showed me a few exercises which I struggled to complete. I realized how unfit I was, but Lenn was very encouraging throughout the session. I knew if I wanted to achieve my fitness goals, I needed someone to guide me and give me the push that I needed.

Lenn introduced me to a Personal Training (PT) programme that was properly divided into phases for me to adapt myself to the training and improve my capacity level. I had two training sessions a week with Lenn. Every training lesson I had with her was challenging but she would encourage and motivate me to carry on whenever I felt I could not go any further. She made sure that I did my exercises correctly to get the maximum results and most importantly she puts my safety as her top priority during our training.

As the Personal Training sessions progressed, I noticed that the intensity of the training changed and there was something new to learn in every lesson, Lenn’s jovial character helped me get through all my sessions with ease. She also gave me a diet programme so I could get better results in addition to the training.

Before I joined Fitness First, I was not able to sleep well at night, resulting in poor concentration and occasionally dozing off at work. Now, I can sleep better at night and my concentration at work has also improved. I feel refreshed and energetic after a good work-out. My stamina, flexibility and strength have also improved remarkably which I know I would never have achieved these results without Personal Training. I started receiving compliments from my family and colleagues. I am now more confident and get to wear clothes that I had never ever dreamt of wearing.

I have no regrets in signing up for Personal Training and I am very grateful that I met Lenn. She has taught me a lot, especially in various exercises for cardio-stamina, strength, flexibility and toning targeted muscles groups. Today, I know more about exercise and fitness which will be a lifelong asset for me. She has given me confidence in believing in myself, that I could do things which I have never thought I could achieve.
