Prior to joining Fitness First, fitness and exercise were never high on my priority list. I was happy being who I was, doing the things I did and enjoying all possible luxuries of life, including the indulgence of extravagant food. I was never in excellent condition of health and I am aware that my body weight leaned towards the plump side. Yet, it never concerned me and I continued to pay no heed to my health.
I joined Fitness First simply because I wanted to do something different and try out something fun. I had practically no idea of what exercising is all about, how to do it and how to make it work, but I was finally persuaded that exercising may just be what I am looking for.
I signed up in May 2008, I only did simple cardio exercises. I had very limited knowledge of the machines and their functions. I had no specific goals in mind and also never thought of signing up for Personal Training. I thought I would do some simple exercises and be content but I was wrong. The thought of losing some pounds and getting into shape gradually took place in my mind and I realised I wanted more.
It was then that I got to know Kenjo. He was very patient in explaining and guiding me, helping me to understand what is Personal Training and its value as well as establishing my desire to shed unwanted inches. He also provided me with a specific plan and target, timeframe and various ways to meet the target. I decided to give Personal Training a try under Kenjo’s guidance.
We started our first session with light exercises before moving on to stronger weights and intensity. He pushed me hard and worked my body to its max. Many times during the training, my body felt so sore and exhausted until I badly wanted to give up. Kenjo never gave up on me. He tried different methods to motivate me in training. He was always considerate to my health and body conditions, ensuring that I get the safest and most effective training at all times.
