I joined Fitness First last year and was given a complimentary fitness assessment to analyse my lifestyle and body composition by Jan, the Personal Trainer. The results indicated that I was not in good health. My Body Mass Index (BMI) and Body Fat percentage was above the normal range. I realised my health was in trouble and decided to sign up for Personal Training sessions.

I started working out with Jan twice a week and the other two days I did my own cardio-workout. I found the Personal Training sessions challenging but FUN. The circuit training pushed me to my limits but as a result, my body became more toned and I have more definition on my arms, butt and tummy.

Apart from just exercise advice, Jan also provided professional advice on nutrition. She also encouraged me to change my eating habits like cutting down on snacks and drinking plenty of water to enhance my body functions. No one could believe that I transformed my appearance and improved my health condition in only 4 months. It is amazing to see the results — my weight reduced from 56.6kgs to 47.4kgs and my body fat decreased from 34.7% to 23.5%. I found that Personal Training helped me to achieve my fitness results and my strength has also improved tremendously.

I now truly understand what weight management is all about. It is a personal responsibility. With a Personal Trainer, it does help me to stay committed to my goals which was set from the start of the programme. Both of us did not allow our goals to slip at all. In summary, I'm excited with every training session I have with Jan. She is not only my personal trainer, but my wellness coach.
